How much have you spent modding your car?

I vaguely remember this question being asked before, but, its always an interesting question to ask again... plus I'm sure more mods have been added by now...

How much have you spent modding your CLK? What mods did you get?

Its not a competition to see who spent more, cause I'm sure Sleestack would win, though, he wouldn't tell us how much he has spent....

anyhow, here is my list of bigger ticket items:

Base Car: 2002 CLK430 Coupe
Mod Cost: ~$10,000
Mods: Lorinser DTM, COMAND retrofit, OE Xenon retrofit, 19" AMG CL wheels & tires, Brabus suspension, Eisenmann race exhaust, V1 radar detector

Next mod: Big Brake Kit (Brembo, StopTech, ???)

I've never really calculated how much I've spent on my CLK, I would hate to see that number though. Now I'm focusing on my other car which is way cheaper than fixing up the CLK.

Here's a link to my modlist on Onlineshowoff.com click here.

My CLK is pretty much still stock but I do have a few to list:

Wood Shiftknob (purchased from Danny's CLK Parts and Accessory Shop) $66

Polarg M17 Lightbulbs (also purchased from DCPAAS) $15

Ask me again in 6 months and I'm almost certain I'll have added at least another $40 or maybe even $50 to that for sure.

EDIT: I forgot about the 8% tint I did all around. $140

i have a nice clean amp for sale if you might be interested...

its a PPI Powerclass amp, model PC4800... i think its something like 4x100 watts @ 4ohms...

i think you can bridge it for 2x400W @ 2ohms or something

best thing about the amp is, its CHROME... real BLING BLING... i even custom made a amp rack/display case to fit in the CLK...

send me an email if you interested...

Hey Rob... this is the guy I'm talking about...

It is the PrecisionPower PowerClass PC4800 Power amplifier... in CHROME finish

I had this in my previous car for about 7-8 mths, then I bought the CLK, in which I used it for another 1.5 mths... its is PERFECT condition, no scratches, no marks...

I bought it for $900 (retails for over $1,000)... If I could recover over half the price, that would be awesome...

without further to do... here it is:

I apologize for the dusty pictures...

The pics show the amp installed on a board, that was used to install onto the CLK... this setup allows it to sit up against the fold down seats... I also have a plexi-glass case/window I made for it which kept is safe from objects in the trunk, while still allowing you to view its beauty...
