Fuel Additives.... Yes/No ???

OK... I'm sure every Mfr puts out this warning just so they cover their own A$ses... but, let hear it from the owners...

what do you all think?

Can we safely use fuel additives?

If yes, which brand do you recommend???

I use the fuel injector cleaners. Techron has the BMW ok and I found NOS even has MB approval. Redline is what I am using now.

The first and last time I used a fuel additive to clean the fuel injection the next day my Check Engine light came on and I had two O2 sensors out.

It may have only been coincidence but I'll never try that again.

I'm afraid to add anything after seeing some of the coincidence of problems happening right after adding or changing something.

for me, I religiously use Chevron.... but, when I'm away from home and its not available... I get the best I can, but that can sometimes not be very good fuel at all...

So, I'm concerned about deposits left over from 'those' fill-ups....

I've heard alot of good things about chervron products,The guys over at the porsche forms say it works wonders for the fuel injectors.I haven't yet tried it.
