Cool

Looks like finally my AMG brake kit is ready for shipment, they where waiting for replacement caliper that was scratched. Randall said not to mess around with the bleeder position, due to clearence problems, so I canceled the long stainless steel brake lines I had ordered.

I left my stock brake lines, and it feels fine, unless your tracking your car alot, i dont think the SS brake lines are a must.

The brakes arrived yesterday and got them installed today, the AMG calipers won't clear my wheels.
The left one has a hair of clearance, and the right one has full contact.
The car is ready, but I won't be able to use it until I get spacers on.

I needed a 3mm spacer for my wheel to clear also.

I thought the thinnest spacers available is 5mm
theine, may I ask you where you get the 3mm spacers?
what brand are they? H&R? are they also hub-centric?

Buy The H/R Spacers Then Have them Cut to your specs
The H/Rs have the hub centric center for proper wheel mounting...NO balance problems...

I did and they are Sweet!

I got mine from the tire rack. Its the ones they give if u buy my wheels for a C32. They give a 3mm custom spacer that is hub centric.

Yeah, they are 3mm aluminum spacers, but not hub centric, I had to spray a little glue to attach them on the wheel and then I could mount them. They are temporary, while I wait for my 18"s, then I won't need the spacers.
The C32 AMG brakes are huge!...my 17" wheels look tiny now, so I have no choice other than byte the bullet and spend the doug for the 18"s. I also put the drilled Brembo rotors on the rear, so it looks cool all around.
Sorry I can't post pictures, due to the stupid 1 byte max size.

Hey guys, do you think 19" wheels (ET 35 or 37) would clear the AMG brakes? Would the rear C32 brakes fit our CLK?

Thanks,

Solihin

hinhin7 you won't have any problems with 19's, even the new 17's clear the C32 brakes, my wheels are the older model and the inner part of the spoke touched the caliper.

I had to put 3mm spacers, impossible to drive it without them, I am waiting for the ST4's to arrive, then I won't need spacers.

I'm putting some of these on my car as soon as my stainless steel lines and porterfield rs4 pads show up. I figure with that setup it would brake just as well as the brembo kits. I'm putting the pads and lines in both the front and the rear. Should be sweet.....then I'm gonna do a track day woohoo

OH yeah these calipers/rotors are heavy as $%&!

26.10 lbs for each rotor!! But they sure are big!

not difficult... its pretty easy... cause you simply can't attach any pics... it can't get any easier than that.

you have the right idea... upload to benzworld, and link here... you just need to keep the pics a little larger than that...
