OH yeah these calipers/rotors are heavy as $%&!

26.10 lbs for each rotor!! But they sure are big!
Seriously... they are huge, but damn... its about 80lbs for the total package... insane!

i wonder why MB are using such heavy setups on their AMG cars... a floating caliper system would obviously shave off unnecessary weight...

As everyone in this forum has noticed after all the mods I've done, I still have my original 17" wheels, simply because the ride is very important for me, the 18's will be a little more harsh and the 19's more than the 18's.

Ohhh come on through some 19's on there!!! It is a little rougher but you get used to it so quickly (1-2 weeks).

I need the brakes just to fill up the wheels. Look at my little puny stockers in my sig pic hahaha

You sure need bigger rotors, on the other hand my wheels look tiny compared to the huge rotors. :p

On 2002 I put on 3,000 miles, on 2003 a little more, 4,650, this year I wen't wild, already 1,500, got to slow down....

The wheels won't arrive until after 3/15, so I have time to decide, but so far I am leaning towards 18's, the CLK is a small car, and I think they look better, but that's my personal taste.

Listen to Danny and go with 19's!!! you wish you had if you go with 18's.

Just curious are the roads that bad that you need 17's? 19's are not that much different.....I mean you already have suspension so the wheels won't make 1/3 diff that did.

I think my wheels are the perfect ones to show off those new calipers/rotors! I can't wait to put them on!!!

Which rotors are you putting on the rear? I have AMG's on the front and Brembo's on the rear, so all four corners have drilled rotors.

As soon as I get mine put on mid next week I'll get a new sig pic....also a smaller picture hahaha

I'm gonna keep my stock rotors for the rear at the moment. It is easy enough to swap out some x-drilled later.

Here is a preliminary Pic........ putting the lines on today and my pads will be in tomorrow from Porterfield.

Jeremy

PS why have I not read anywhere that the rotor set screw (the one that just holds it in place till you bolt your wheels on) does not fit........it isn't an issue because once your wheels are on it becomes useless, but I guess no one has done this mod themself.
