could it be a Faulty Fuel Sensor??

I dont know if its a same problem as some guys with faulty fuel sensor but theres about 10-20 sec delay on the gauge reading the fuel level.(gauge shows as empty for 10-30Sec then the needle gets up to the correct fuel level) This only happens when cars been sitting over 5hrs. Should I worry or is this normal?? Thanks.

Sounds like the sensor is beginning to go. I went through 3 in 20,000 miles.

HAD the same problem here....not anymore

Where I live (Canada) certain gas companies have gasoline additives and high sulphur content in their gas that causes residue build up on the sensors. Not sure if this is attributable to the problem, but ever since I changed to a different gas company known for their high graded fuel, the problem seems to have disappeared.

Now that just sucks. I remember someone told me not to use shell gas because of their additives. I put Amaco a.k.a BP are they any good? Forsome reason dealer tech can't duplicate the problem with my fuel gauge.

I thought gas was just gas as long as I put highest of what they have. I haven't seen chevron here.

yep...94 octane...but gas is hella expensive here!!

Yes. Gas is gas. The sulphur problem lies within the pipelines that the gas companies use to transport the fuel. Somewhere along the line the gas picks up the sulphur content.

Sounds like you have a bad fuel sensor that needs replacing. This happened to my CLK430, but they also replaced my entire Dash cluster too.
