First impressions of my CLK43K

Well, as many of you already know, I got my car back from the shop today. You may also notice that I usually write better than this, but my mind is going crazy with excitement.

First impressions:
The car is fast... I mean really fast! Seriously, the feeling of 400lbs of torque is very inviting. In fact, I can only think of about 5 times when I haven't punched it so far. The power is consistent, and very smoothly delivered. There aren't any flat spots... Very natural feeling. Not only does flooring it produce an amazing amount of power, but I have never heard a Mercedes sound this good! The engine screams, probably with excitement, when accelerating hard. It's truly a breathtaking sound.

Second impressions:
As my ECU is breaking in more, my love for the Kleemann SC grows. As funny as this sounds, I've got the giggles! Seriously, I can still hear the engine screaming in my head. Phenomenal!

Brandon, I want to personally thank you for bringing such a great system to the states. Your patience and advice has led to my new found appreciation of my car. Thank you.

I came into it feeling a little defeated since Sleestack was able to put 400 to the wheel... But coming out of it, I am definitely happy with it. Although, I am planning on working cams, headers, and a diff in the future.

Art, let me know when you're going to be in the area, I'll take you for a spin (without the spin). There is a meet this Sat at Irvine Park if you or anyone is interested. We are meeting at Quiznos in the Tustin Market Place at 10:30 am.

I will have to wait a couple weeks before I try and record a sound clip, as it will be filled off giggling right now Stormy, if you can't make it, just send me an email on when you'd like to meet up.

Guys, I don't yet know the power figures or 0-60/qtr mile, I've only had it for 50 miles. My ECU still needs to break in. As soon as I dyno the car, I will post both my original and Kleemann dynos.

The Kleemann Supercharger for the 430's is $14,350 plus approx $1300-1800 labor.

Back to the future? Haven't tried it, but I can leave the skid marks like the Delorean did! BTW, the driver of our BMW E36 Lightweight race car owns a Delorean!

Let me know when you want to go for a ride.
