Is there a way to gain a few more horse power without upgrade the engine? K&N filter or change the exhaust or get a new chip???If I have to spend 15k on the Kleeman super charge then I rather trade my CLK430 in and get a 94Ferrari 348 spider and gain more horse power and turn more head.... just a thought

Yeah, I guess you're right in some way. Why do you want to buy a CLK430 but are not satisfied with the number of horses it carries? If there are cheap ways to increase the horsepower without spending a lot, nobody will buy a CLK55! Just my $0.02.

Get a chip, K&N air filter, new exhaust and you should have more HP that will make you happier for some time hopefully.
I haven't drive a 430 yet, but i'm sure the power in it compared to my 320 is much nicer.
BTW, how often do you end up filling up your gas tank? how many miles do you get out of your car on a full tank?

I can get about 330 mile out of a full tank that will be a combination of free way and inside driving. I love the 430 just too bad that when I purchased it they don't have the CLK 55 yet. And I don't want to spend more money to trade my 430 in for it. My next car will be a used ferrari 348 spyder

Damn 330miles. i don't think i've hit even 280 on a full tank yet unless i forget to reset the computer.
i only have 7000 miles on the car, therefore, i haven't had my first oil change yet. do you think this may have some affect on my MPG?

My car is at 24,000 miles right now your car is still in the break in period. Plus I used only Mobile 1 synthetic oil. when you have your car service request for mobile 1 otherwise they will give you the regular mobile oil.

What kind of driving are you doing? I usually average right around 21MPG out of my CLK55 doing about a 70/30 split freeway/surface street. And yes, I drive the 55 like it was meant to be driven - fast & hard!

Granted, I have pushed my numbers down to as low as 9MPG during one particularly spirited mountain session....

i'm not doing anything out of the norm. i like to use the tiptronic a lot but not all of the time.
I do mostly city driving but then some highway. i'd say 70/30 city/hwy.
