I have to agree Big Terry. This is my 7th Mercedes and never before have I received so many questions/comments on sheer styling/looks. I've also had several new BMW's and none have made me feel so "giddy" every time I look at it!
I really enjoy the lines of this auto!
Congrats on your ownership!

You guys are lucky to have CLK430. The more I see CLK430, the more I like it. I was thinking to trade my C240 with CLK430, but I am still enjoying the C240 . IMO, I prefer the CLK 430 rather than the new W209 CLK.
only my .02 cents

CLK, X5
I agree with all the comments made. Everytime i walk to my car in a parking lot, it just stands out. IMO the w209 styling is a little too feminine for me, and modification options seem to be more inhibited.

However, I can't quite accept that it has retained a high retail value... UNLESS you have a CLK Cabriolet in places like So. Cal or something...
According to ALG, the CLK (Cab) has the best resale value after 2-3 yrs in the Luxury Car Market...

The look is awesome!
The CLK is a design and total look that the other luxury car makers envy.
If you examine 2-door coupes in the luxury segment, the CLK stands out as being the trend setter and leader as well as the most overall complete luxury coupe out there.
Great choice everyone!

I have to agree. If I would have known the major differences (other than engine) I would have definitely gone with the 430. I just didn't know and I didn't feel that I needed the extra power.

I miss my clk 430 - i disliked the new CLK 500 so much that i actually got an E500 instead...
Looking back the CLK 430 is an instant classic...Best sounding engine and exhaust from stock.....DAMN i miss the rumble ..
I dont know what MB was thinking when they designed the W209 - looks like an acura cl...or a honda accord...

There is something about CLK that people like about.
My 2000 320 is 4 years old and I still get compliments from people. I think it's a car that you can't get sick of because of the supports that you get from other people.
Don't you notice the stares you get when you drive your car around?

EFF YOU JACKIE
Its the styling, hands down. People love the aggressive yet classy look. As far as them retaining value, I don't know about that, but DAMN!, what a sharp looking car.
Can someone please tell me how to post pics, it wont let me post and I want to post the beast all clean'd up!! DAMMMITRRRRGHGGHH!!
