Car didn't start
Okay...it all started a month ago, my car wouldn't turn over when I tried to start it. After about 5 times it worked and my engine roared to life and the car ran fine. Then About a week ago I was waiting in line at mc donalds and all my systems failed, abs etc....turned my car off turned it on and everything was cool. Tonight my car did not turn over for about 20 tries and then it finally made it. Anyone have any ideas what is wrong?

First, take it in immediately.
Second, have them run diagnostics on all of your sensor: fuel, oil, oxygen etc...
Third, make sure they check your brain box. It could be a faulty chip somwhere inside. These are usually covered under the manufactures warranty for up to 100K (sort of like the powertrain and paint warranty).
Last, pray that it is one of these problems--if it's electrical wiring, that blows.
Good Luck

Used to be a CLK430
My car did the exact same thing, and over the course of 3 months I killed the battery trying to make it turn over so many times. The dealer couldn't find the problem and after 3 visits to them I went to an independent; within an hour he figured out it was the crankshaft position sensor. Only a $180 repair, and my car has run like a champ ever since.
Word of caution: get it in the shop immediately, you will kill your battery and end up losing power while driving.

So I brought it to the dealership, they said nothing was wrong but they lubed some ignition component and sent me on my way. I picked it up yesterday and I was driving around about to get on the freeway and the car died in the middle of the road. It refuesed to turn over and the ignition noise was very faint. The lights and everything all worked but my car started when the tow company jump started it. I drove it straight to mercedes. They said it was my crank shaft sensor and he replaced it. I picked up my car today and when I stoped sometimes it would idle really rough. One time when it did it I put it in neutral and my car was reving itself. Any ideas? I need to get this fixed fast.

It happen to my Corvette, I thought it was the starter or the laternator and other electrical problems. The problem was the ignition switch. You might want to check thout first.

i had the same problem while the car was still under warranty. The stealership replaced a couple of 02 sensors (i don't remember if it was the front pair or the rear pair), and the problem stopped. On my 540i, I had the same problem, and it got worse....car losing power while i was driving. On the BMW, it was the crankshaft position sensor being faulty.

Yes, see my previous comments on sensors--often they are the first to go...REASON: they are the cheapest part (quality) of the entire system. However, they can be costly. Very few cars go to the electrical sh#$ hole b/c they build cars better now, as opposed to my dad's '74 MGB.
