NO IDEA , NOT A CLUE
Hi
well, car left standing for some time went to use and all good until you go to move and found to be stuck in park???? moved from park manually(overridden) to neutral, hand break was hard to release but when it did released the hand break now feels disconnected from everything. now I can drive the car using D,N,R but if I use P (park) then that's it you don't move unless you use the pencil override to get out of park
can anyone think why ? or what has gone wrong ? The car only does about 800 miles a year (drive it one day a week and polish for 6)

I would start with brake light switch first, if that doesn't address the problem probably looking at the shifter module.
