HELP...leather cracking on my dash board

Well the title says it all..

I was cleaning up my car yesterday & noticed a crack on the passenger side of the dashboard where the airbag sits along the top side....any ideas on how to fix this or stop from anymore happening....

Thanks,

Ric

If you're still under warranty take it in ASAP. Otherwise you may be out of luck. Apparently this was a problem on certain models and was fixed under warranty, I think the whole thing had to be replaced.

If it's a 320,

then it's not leather. And no, you won't stop it. You may be able to find one out of a wreck, but there's no guaranteee that it's not already well on the way to spiltting. Just thank your friends at DC for the new cheaper materials that don't last naymore.

This is a KNOWN factory defect from MB. I had mine replaced and it was not even by my own requesst. I was freindly with the service manager, he said there was a bulletin about it..

I would insist on a new one...
