Get rid of it!

Since you're having bad luck with it and the mileage is getting up there, I think it's time for a new toy.

My biggest problem is not to sell it, but what to get instead of it. I have '86 Honda Accord, my commuter and it does get me from A to B. It just a transportation, but it works.
I love my benzo so much, I love the way it looks, the way it drives, pretty much everything, but those annoying little problems, that you never get from japanise car.

I like new TL, but it's just not Mercedes...

This is my first benz and I would like it to be not my last, BUT!

One question, how come when I said the same thing on another post, I got ganged up on by a bunch of members. I said the same thing about 10k miles ago, how the car is just not up to par on quality. It's a shame...

Just a counterpoint...

My '99 CLK430 runs flawlessly, and I've had NO issues with: creaking...window bounce...seat motors... engine tapping... gauges... gas sensors... oxygen sensors... etc...

Not trying to diminish those of you that are having problems, but I don't want to leave the impression on others that all of these cars have problems.

I would suggest you trade it in on a newer CLK. Get it repaired as good as you can, give it a wash and off to the dealer.

The Kelly Blue Book "trade in value" is $19,050 for your car. If you have added specialty items they are not figured in the Kelly pricing, you may have to sell it privatly if you want to recoup some of the money you have put into it.
Go to http://www.kbb.com// to play with the figures, I use it and sometimes the pricing is close.

Regards,
Ed

Why is there such a huge difference between kbb and NADA? 19k vs 25k I would never sell my car for 19, but i'd consider it for 25.

kbb seems to be always much much below what you could truly get for the car/what other cars like yours are selling for. edmunds.com has a pretty accurate one. at least from the seller's point of view if someone tries to push you into a kbb price, tell em to go find another car instead

CiLKY-
i just checked my PM's and replied. I really have no idea if these rims will clear your C32 brakes or not. But to give you a little more info about the set up, both front tires need to be replaced....one blew up on the freeway. The rear tires have 70% tread left and are P7000 265/30/19. If you are still interested, this deal needs to be done by 2morrow, as the car has already been sold.

thanks,
AL

yeah. the car is sold. The last couple of weeks I was looking around for a left over 2003 CL type-S . Fortunately, I found one at a local dealership that was black on black, 6 speed, with nav, so i picked it up at a really good price =)

As far as the body kit is concerned, it's gonna be left on the car for the new owner. After I blew my front driver's side tire on the freeway, I had to get the car towed 75 miles. As I was driving the car up the flatbed, the front bumper cracked. When I drove the car off the flatbed, it craked even more. Oh well. My car was already low before the body kit.....after the body kit I couldn't drive up or down any driveway w/o having to manuever the car horizontally.

If you have any questions about the acura let me know I had 2 different cl type S a 2002 black auto and a 2003 silver 6 speed with Brembos . First thing is get the Comptech headers that are good for 32 wheel HP that has been dynoed and proven and also the Comptech Ice-box that is good for another 5-6 HP. Good luck with the acura they are great cars

comptechusa.com and look for yourself they have the dyno and everybody on the forum has dynoed also acura-cl.com. Look it up believe me Ive had 2 different cl type S for the past 2 years I know everything about those cars. The Comptech supercharger is a waste of money and my friend has the only turbocharged cl type S with over 400 HP to the wheel running 12s
