Atlanta meet

I'll be in the Atlanta area on business during the week of June 7-11. I was wondering if anyone wanted to meet, look at cars, and maybe do dinner somewhere one evening. I'm open for the when's and where's.

Just curious........why?
Thought we might get some MB fans together, shoot the *****, look at each others cars, although mine won't be there, and get a bite to eat.

Chappy,
Don't worry, cold beer will be involved!!!!!

Permiter...

Maybe somewhere around the Mall area, lots of nice restaurants, big parking lots, and good safe valet locations. Out of the BMZ also.

Yeah, I agree. Just trying to figure out who is for real, and who is just playing games, since not everyone has their city.state identified.
If you, Chappy or some of the other folks that are actually from the area could help me out with this, I would greatly appreciate it.
As far as an area to meet, it doesn't really matter to me. I'll more than likely be south of town near Jonesboro, so I can go any place you all want to. Since you all live there, you would know better than me. I'm somewhat familiar with the Lennox Mall area, but I can go anywhere.
You may want to ask those who are flying in for the meet, and possibly consider something close to the airport. LOL
Thanks for your help!

This place may be a little further North than folks want, but I can vouch for the outstanding german food and excellent german beer selection!

http://www.vrenysbiergarten.com/

BTW, there is excellent/ample parking there (non-valet). Keep in mind, they are closed Mondays. If we meet between 7-7:30pm, most of the traffic would have died down by then. However, I still plan on giving myself an hour to get there from Roswell!

At this point, I have no other plans Mon-Thurs of that week. I am totally open to other suggestions. I'll be there...just name the time and place!

Bu t that is ...

REALLy north...about halfway to Chatanooga! I still vote for the Perimeter area, or even the BMZ, as long as there's good exits...

Another suggestion:

There a great little Mexican restaurant with decent parking off I-85 and N. Druid Hills Road.

I'll sit back now and let others chime in and decide

The Mexican joint sounds good to me.

I spent some time in Mobile. Has anything changed in the last 10 years?

Mexican sounds fine to me as well. Think they make a Scotch-aritas? LOL
Mobile is about the same, but steadily growing West. The Gulf Shores area is really getting commercialized though--that sux. Still beautiful though and still considered some of the best beaches on the gulf.
You all pick a day and time because I'm pretty flexible. Will probably get here on Monday afternoon, and will leave Friday morning.
I'd recommend meeting for about 30-45 minutes prior to eating so we can group up.
Chappy could you make the reservations if they are needed?

I can get all the details (specific location, name, phone number, directions, etc.) once a date and time is selected. I can be there as early as 6pm, so those who want to 'kick tires' can meet up early. I say we shoot for a 7pm dinner. Later than that and we'll be there till midnight!

What day?

There appears to be a problem with the site if you try and come in through the home page. I was only able to get on going directly to an exisiting thread so you might not get a response for awhile.

Since no one is committing to a day, how does Thursday sound?
Meet in the parking lot from 6-7, and do dinner/drinks from 7 till?

Sounds good count me in.

Chappy, what is the name of the place?

I am going to assume this is a guy's only night and that everyone is leaving the old ball and chain at home.

Nice. My g/f is sitting right next to me as I read your post. I'm inviting her

Name of the place is Pancho's, just South of N. Druid Hills on Buford Highway. It'll be on East side of the street, across from Green's Package Store. More detailed directions later.
