Swapping diff from 320 to 430.

What would it take to remove the 320 diff and replace it with a 430 diff

Even if you do so, gear won't shift,

cause Clk320 gearbox is (A330Nm), with "3.07" diff, Ratio, while Clk430 gearbox is (A580Nm), with "2.87" diff. Ratio..!!

also, TCU need to be coded, depend to your TCU/EGS version..!!

It’s going to have a different drivetrain. It will be an LS swap. So non of that really matters. Just wanting to know what parts I’ll need and what parts are interchangeable.

If you mean Clk430 diff. into Clk320, then it will be bolt-on, no need any other parts..

Thats exactly what I mean 😁 all the flanges are the same for the driveshaft and axles? Also the mounting points also?

No bro.,

if you specifically refers to 00-02 "Clk320 & Clk430" diff., they sharing the same "housing/rear cover/center flanges",

you only need to get off the rear flange from your Clk320, and put it into Clk430,,

everything else will be good..

Well with all that said, I shouldn’t even need to switch it out then? If they’re the same, I assume just ratio is different. Any idea how much torque they can hold? Any lsd options out there for them?

As i know; "Clk320 & Clk430" uses (HAG185/190), which can hold up to around (440Nm)>>(330lb⋅ft) of torque,,

can get "2.82" LSD with "Wavetrac" or "Quaife".

You’re awesome. Thanks for all the knowledge. Do either of those make gear set as well?

While we’re on the subject. What would it take for the 55 AMG diff? Would it mount directly into the car. Just need the rear driveshaft for the AMG being a 4 bolt?

Usually, they make an LSD carrier, not that sure about gear set, they may do it depend of application..!

Yeah, 00-02 "W208 Clk55" or 00-02 "W210 E55" will fit,

but also need to change the rear flange as well,,

cause "Clk55/E55" uses (4) fingers, while "Clk320/Clk430" comes with (3) fingers..
