I've had it for almost 4 years now, been pretty satisfied with the quality, but life is got to move on. I'm not the kind of person who can keep a car for 10+ years.

Most people don't keep daily drivers for more than 5 years.. even if they are modded. Sell it while it still has value and start working on the next ride. I'll probably never sell my CLK, but that's because it is a one-off and will be the first of several tuner cars I want to build and keep. Daily drivers last about 4-5 years for me.

Werd, but you might find someone whos looking to buy the exact car you've been building, you never know, if the price is right, why not.

I don't think I'll sell it. I'd rather drive it and each other tuner car I have built into the ground.

I buy a car because I love it, not to get rid of it after 5 year It is not my daily driver, but I still keep my 300D, and its 25 years old! Cars can always be repaired. I want to collect the cars I buy, not sell them. That includes the van I own, because they only produced the turbos for 2-3 years. My next car on my list will be a 996, once the 997 comes out, theres gonna be a lot of sellers

You have a one of a kind CLK that will break the mold, once it's done. Congrats on taking your CLK to a new level!

As for others who mod their daily drivers, heavily modding a car and driving heavy miles can really reduce the resale value, especially in today's world of low interest rates and free maintenance.

I went through that with my Audi S4. I had a full suspension, 18" BBS RXIIs, chip adn exhaust, and the money I got for it was the same as selling a stock S4.

No one wants to buy an overly slammed CLK with high mileage.

Personally, I plan to mildly mod my clk and trade it in a few years from now for a CLK 55.
