Renntech exhaust fabricating details???
Umm just had to post this, I was beyond skeptical. Go look at:

50 horsepower for an exhaust!!!! BS

its possible, its not just the exhaust. They're talking about the whole system. just the muffler=15hp. At least thats how I got it

Yah i agree, but both estimates are a little skewed if you ask me. 15 itself is kinda unreasonable. But then again i think renntech is pretty much the premier mercedes performance tuner, and even if not the full hp gains they claim, i wonder if there is any merit to it?

....I have seen many threads over the years concerning exhausts....people are right when they reply get whichever one you want based on looks and sound. A friend and I have tried a few different brands over the last year and a half or so and have yet to see one that has not LOST power. Everyone has shown a decrease!!!!! YMMV but at 5000ft above sea level coupled with extremely bad air quality......this what our dynos have shown. As far as the Renntech goes....couple years ago they switched to just a muffler for the CLK.....prior to that they carried a full catback.

well according to renntech, they do. lol. I bet honestly they both have the usual sort of 0-3hp gains.

Where does that link say it is for a CLK? Those gains are possible on R129 V12 SL's I think.
