After seven years as a Audi owner, I just bought a 1998 CLK 320. I can tell you anything you need to know about the B5 A4 1.8 TQM, but I don't know **** about my Benz, so if there's anyone that can point me towards the things I created for the new Audi guys - like: "What to check first, what to do first, any known issues, how to know which car code(s) you have, VIN decoding, wheel/center bore/backspacing specs, Easter eggs" and basically anything that you wish someone would've been cool enough to help you out with when you first bought your car - I would greatly appreciate it.

There used to be a site called Signal to Noise, but that was absorbed by The Southwest Star Magazine. Much of the Signal to Noise technical info has been put away. You may want to try thesouthweststar.com the 2015 4th edition, page 40. The Southwest Star is free, and the articles are all available, but the technical bits can be tough to find.
