2001 CLK 320 AMG Limited Addition
2001 320 clk amg
I have had a few dealership people say there is no clk320 amg and that someone just stuck on the amg to make it look cool or whatever...
even our local expert didn't believe it till he saw the engine, his dad is big time and this guy knows his cars but it's rare... And once the hood was up, engine cover off and he realized yep, amg.
I have done several searches and i can't find much info on my girl.
I have found a couple things on it but I was hoping for maybe some history on the clk320 amg and why I can't seem to find it listed in the mercedes sites I have search.

There is no such thing as a 320 AMG...someone stuck on that badge...nothing rare..there is no 320 engine AMG!....and local guy is out of his league on this one....and if you really don't believe me, enter the VIN and try to get into the AMG private lounge

2000 CLK 430 AMG
Are you sure no W208 AMG except the 55’s ?
If there are no others, then someone went to a lot of trouble and expense to make my 2000 CLK 430 Cabriolet ‘pose’ as an AMG. Rims , calipers, ground effects, complete exhaust (I looked up the exhaust systems for both the base and an AMG to see the differences, definitely an AMG exhaust) , all the badging ( both front fenders , ground effects, rear deck lid and engine cover). I did submit the vin to mercedes-amg.com as was suggested to someone earlier. Waiting for a response.
Wether it is or isn’t really is of no consequence to me , I bought it sight unseen , simply because it was the 430 Cabriolet. When it arrived all badged up , I just counted it as a bonus . I’ll let you know the results 😎✌️
Maybe I got really blessed and someone swapped out the engine too..
