No windows work after changing battery

Hello. I new to the forum.
I just brought a 2000 CLK430 convertible W208.
After installing a new battery, none of the windows will work. Apparently there is no power to any of them.
The soft top lamp is constantly on.

I client the connectors and replaced the k40 relay.
But no luck.
Any ideas with can cause this problem?

Thanks

Check your owner's manual. There could be some goofy recalibration procedure that's required after power loss. There are several youtubes about cars that require this. Purpose seems to a dealer visit and $200.

Thanks Streborx.
I wish it were that easy. I have taken it to the dealer. They recommended I change the K40 relay and clean the contacts. I did.
Any idea what module controls all the windows?

The windows are controlled by the soft top controller module as well as the door modules, check all the fuses in the boot, side of dash and make sure the soft top is fully closed.
Good practice to connect positive first and ground second.

Relays don't burn up simply due to a power loss. Has anything else become corrupted, such as your radio presets or your seat memory settings?

Yes, the trunk will not open when depressing the switch.

Other than that, everything else is working.

Just a few follow up questions. When you say door module, are you referring to the, the door module inside the door panels?

If so, isn't strange for both sides to be inoperative.

I will check the soft top module. It's not that easy to get to.

Thanks

So you've tried pressing and holding the window switch down for several seconds with the ignition on, and nothing happens(?).

Yes.
There is no power to the switch. I even put a volt/ohm meter on it and nothing.
It had been working fine before.

I should have also told you that, this all started after I jump the car and then put in a new battery.
It drives and everything else is working.
