someone jacked my star
hahaha, yeah...someone just ripped it off 
normally i would be PISSED, but i was gonna get a new CL grill and flat hood emblem anyhow. guess i'll go order it

Yeh, from what i understand thats why the flat hood emblem thing started. Did they scratch or bend the area around the hole at all? Post pics when you get everything back together, it should look pretty sweet.

wait a minute, when they take it out - is it supposed to also rip out the circular metal thing around it? because it seems to have come out pretty clean - there's like a 1/2 sphere void in the hood, inside the circular thing. it's black and real jaggedy. when i opened the hood, the spring came out

Ok so they just ripped the star itself out and not the lower portion that holds it onto the hood? One of my friend's fathers had his stolen and from what i hear the thief used a screw driver to pry the entire assembly out, scratching the crap out of the paint and bending the surrounding area in the process.

I saw you are located in Orlando. Where did that happen?
I was in downtown last night going clubbing, and I parked in one of
those outside lots of Magnolia. There were 6 other CLK's, three of
which were also 55's. It was actually funny, because the attendant
was like "Another Benz!!!" and my girl with me was pointing out the
other ones too.

Hey, it happened on East Colonial at Jack's Auto Sound & Security (never taking my car there again). My friends went out to Antigua on Friday in a Geo Prism and someone broke the door handle and took their CDs.
Haha, I've never seen a 55 in Orlando...guess they only come out at night!
