Squeal like a pig...
I just replaced the front/rear pads and rotors on my CLK 430. I used OEM parts all around, plenty of anti-squeal paste on the back of the pads and now the brakes squeal when braking.
The noise is only audible when braking at speeds of less than 10 mph. Braking at any other speed is fine (and silent)...
Any suggestions?

CLK320
had the same problem. Turned out the hub was bent and the rotor was rubbing against the pad at slow speeds. Changed everything from the knuckle outwards and the problem was fixed. Could also be the flimsy backing plate rubbing against the rotor.

Or another possibility could be that one of the pads in on backwards and the wear sensors are just squeeling away? I don't know, just throwing in other possiblitites.

Thanks for all the replies.... I forgot to post a follow-up.
I took the wheels back off to check everything and I found that one of the bolts that hold the driver side front caliper had wiggled its way loose.
With the caliper only tightened down with one bolt it suppose it caused enough vibration at low speeds to squeal.
I re-torqued the bolts and it has been quiet ever since.
-Cheers!

The total for the parts was $400. I did the job myself with just a few basic tools and it took me about 2 hours to complete the front and rear. My local stealership quoted me $1200 for parts & labor. When I asked them why it cost so much, the service advisor said "...well mercedes are very complex cars."
I laughed for 2 whole days
