I dunno why everyone keeps putting that grille on....The W208 should NOT sport that grille......The big star in the middle just doesnt look rite on our model year...

Yeah...that SCHATZ grille is terrible. looks like your trying too hard to make it into a CL. but the proportions are all outta whack....now the NEW CLK W209 model has the perfect looking proportions in terms of the star and the width of the grille. The hood was made for that new grille...The W208 WAS DEFINITELY NOT!

Oh man, c'mon! I think it actaully looks good...fits the car well as oposed to the smaller star. Just my opnion. I'll give you teh benefit of the doubt until I see the FULL picture of the car with that grill on to see how it fits it proportionally.

Hmm, might be tough selling yours since the website referred by str8ridin sells em for $249 and shipping is less since it's not coming from Singapore

You can check it out first for the pricing
but i cannot give lower
as the price for the original benz grille for W208 is expensive
and i have to ask my worker to customized them to larger star

I never really understood why the w208 came with the stand-up star and the standard sedan grill in the first place. All other coupes in the MB lineup have the big star grill. Hell, even the C230K coupe has it. I think it makes the car look "sportier", not like it's trying to be a CL or something.

is this made from an original avantgarde grille, or an elegance grille?

both ways

Like Life you cant always have it both ways. Although I have seen numerous people do it. I don't think it looks awful Just a little redundant for my taste. I am going to wait until an aftermarket version of the new "mb Illuminated star" grille for a 208 hits the market. and I will prob go with a flat AMG badge on the hood. At the present moment they do have Just the stars for sale for around 400 but they are oem from MB dealers but are specific to certain models. But i am sure they will start popping up so i give it a year or so and they'll have worked out the kinks im sure. the OEM mb does not stay on while driving either. Only while a door is open or when starting the car.
