Problem with CD player/changer....someone please help!!

I am leasing a 1999 CLK430. Every summer now when the weather is really hot my cd player/changer is normal for about 15 minutes then it goes crazy. It makes a scratchy-static noise....with some high pitched digital noise. Hard to explain. Picture scratching a CD while playing it...with static thrown in. The key here is it happens only in the summer...never in the winter. And only when I use the CD player(for at least 10 to 15 minutes)...never with just the radio. The noise starts softly at first then as I go to change songs or change CDs it really kicks in loudly. It is not the CDs(they are not scratched. Its been to the dealers twice already for this (once every summer) they say nothing is wrong. Of course it never happens for them! Shouldn't they just check the wiring? The hot weather has to be the key. Here comes another summer without a CD player. I am hoping someone out there has heard of this before and knows what I can tell my dealer. Any advice will be helpful

Where are you located?I have had excellent service with Auto Stiegler in Southern California. They will usually replace everything when there is this type of problem.

I'm in Connecticut...I wish my dealer would just replace everything...but I'm leasing and I think they are trying to avoid that. I'm waiting for a hot day to drive it over there and show them the noise.

The fact that you are leasing should have nothing to do with the service you get.Sounds like they are just lazy!

I know they are lazy. I hate having to prove that something is wrong.

I read something in the owner's manual about the CD changer shutting off automatically if the unit gets too hot. Maybe the sensor is bad? I assume it's installed in the usual spot?

Yes..it is in the trunk...right wheel well. Factory installed. The CD player has never just stopped...if it ever does it will always make that noise.
