Finally Buying my Car - Pics of totalled car

So I totalled my CLK 430 a little bit ago and now im finally getting my new car.

I was going to buy like a 02 CLK 430 because I hate the look of the new ones. Well I sat inside the new CLK the other day and I loved it. I think the biggest reason I hate the CLK look now is because it doesnt look sporty at all, very skinny car, and the front looks like the front of a C230 coupe. Anyways, im getting my car on Friday but I dont know whether to get an M3 or a CLK 500. Speed isnt really an issue cuz both perform really well even though the M3 is faster, I dont really care. The only reason I would get an M3 is because the exterior look is awesome. Looks like a sports car. Con to the M3 is its a kids car comparable to the C-class which I would not want to drive. The CLK500 is also much more luxurious.

In your options, which would you choose and why.

Bro those are some craaazzzzy pictures! Nice to see you're still alive.

Well anyways, are the CLK and the M3 the only choices you have? IMO I wouldn't take either...

the new carrera is the way to go
the m3 will get a refresh in the next year or so based on the new 3, so you'll get killed on resale/deprec.

c/clk

i think he meant a clk...correct? but i agree a c class = a 325
or, if the c, opt out and get a G35 sed/coupe, or the new bad *** m45 w/v8
you have many good choices in the 40K+ range

2009 Audi R8
Clk 500 All day any day can not compare the two I think sometimes we forget what we are all so fortunate to have A BENZ let me repeat a Fing MERCEDES BENZ i HAD A 325CI before and recently Switched over to the clk 320 new body style. There is just no comparison. not saying the 325ci is bad at all I actually loved the car but always wanted a benz and now i know why.

I also understand we are talking about an m3 as opposed to 325ci but the interior of the two are almost identical performance wise they are in two different leagues. By no means am i bashing BMW's they are just like they say the Ultimate driving machines but the Benz is just like no other

What tampaclk said. Look around a little more. I like the M45 because it's new and it's a technological marvel!

CLK500 Cabriolet
Had to make the choice between M3 Cab and CLK500 Cab in October. Got the CLK for the following reasons:

1. Too many 3 series around here
2. New 3 series was about to come out
3. New M3 will be V8-a lot of current M3 owners may make the leap
4. Didn't want a manual (live in a metro area and spend a fair amount of time in traffic), but thought that SMG needed more work
5. Lots of problems with M3 engines...although I think they may have fixed that by now

They are both great cars. Get the one that makes you happy.

Cool. I'm also a St. Thomas grad (same conference as Hamline). I thought about going to Hamline (nice scholarship offer from them). Good luck on your automotive law class. You should get Joe Soucheray to come and speak at it one day (if he'd go near a law school, that is).
