Help with Inner Parking Bulbs
#76
Hey guys, I have been following this tread and I have a question for you guys. What type of original bulb is in your parking/city light? I have a W210 which comes with H6W with a BAX9 base. I just want to be sure whether or not you guys have different parking bulbs than I do. Thanks!

I got my new 6,000K Ultinons last night - the car is dirty and the pics are a bit iffy, but here are a couple pics. The driver's side are the Ultinons and the passenger side is the OEM xenon:

Can't really see the difference through the pics, maybe if it was darker out. But I'm sure it looks a lot better than stock
Were they difficult to install?

I just was outside putting the second one in, and this time it was a bit of a pain. It has a notch that needs to get lined up, and I couldn't see into the housing to tell which way it had to be oriented. The horn is right in front of the opening, which added to the pita factor. It still only took 5 mins.
Yeah, the pics weren't the best. The OEM lights had a yellow tinge to them, whereas these have a blue tinge to them. It's not a whole lot different compared to the 8Ks or 10Ks that I've seen, but I don't really like overly blue headlights and wanted something fairly subtle. I'll try to get some better pics after I wash the car.

I bought the WLED 6-LED bulbs and RL-650 load resistor kits from superbrightleds.com. I understand from the posts the resistor kit gets wired across the bulb wiring. The only question I have left is whether the new LED bulbs fit into the original city light sockets. I have a 2001 E430.
Thanks

Which have you guys used, if you've changed them? And... Are you guys satisfied with your respective bulbs?

You are absolutely right that they are not bright. I am just using them for show....not brightness. I like them because they are blueish and better match my Xenons. I wish I had a pic, but I don't.
Do you really need these lights to be bright?

How hot are the load EQs supposed to get? How do you get to the fog lights? I am not putting LEDs on the fog lights, i just want to give them a buld to match my bi xenons.
