Nope, I got the same issue. Bluetooth is there, but doesn't work sadly. You will need the UHI for your phone.

Sorry to resurrect such an old post, but still better than creating a new one I guess...

Anyway, can anyone explain this sorcery with comand and bluetooth?

I have an european comand with linguatronic and a nokia 6300 in the telephone cradle behind the arm rest, and bluetooth in service menu in comand.

Can I pair my Galaxy SII via bluetooth with the car or do i need smthng else?

Tnx all

I've been wondering the exact same.
I also have Euro command and a nokia 6210 in the arm rest. I also have a Samsung Galaxy SII, I would love to pair it via bluetooth.

Funny thing is the Nokia 6210 has an Orange Sim Card. The phone works and I can even make calls with it (in or out of the car) I tried calling Orange to get some info whether it's a contract or prepaid card but since I am not the original owner they will not give me any info. I've been using that phone for the past two months making international calls and havent received a bill to this day. Lovin' it

Lol, carefull with those int calls I dunno about that. This nokia 6300 is my old phone from an SL but I haven't used it for ages now, the car came with the cradle only, no phone inside so I've put this one in...

I guess we need something like: http://www.ebay.com/itm/GENUINE-Vise...item3cc334e4af

Or am I wrong? It would be pretty lame to give money for something I don't really need

Btw. With the risk of going off topic, what cool stuff does your comand do (besides navigating and playing radio/cd's, duh )? I haven't had the chance yet to play around with mine since I imported it today and it hadn't cleared the customs yet. It has a cd changer, can it play mp3's like most people say it can? It also has an aux input in the glovebox, and something in the roof that looks like a speaker (dome-like device between the sunroof and the rear lights), what's that?

A quick update: After reading on some german forums it seems that the comand bluetooth function is there only to connect to a bluetooth headset, not to a phone itself (altough this info comes from the distant 2005, so it could be different with new cars). So it seems we will need a bluetooth adapter to pair our phones with a car.

Any other info would be most appreciated

Unfortunately it doesnt play mp3 which is disappointing. I don't have an AUX input in the glovebox :s

This makes sense. I tried connecting other phones via bluetooth but it never worked. It only works with the Nokia because as its connected with a cradle and it's wired. There are alternatives though...

Im reading about them... Ill see what I come up with

Seeing the car in your sig I presume its a pre-2005 model (pre-facelift). If that's the case then your cd changer isn't mp3 capable (only 2006 and later models). I should have noticed it before asking questions... Sorry.

I have the 2009 Euro Comand in my car & according to my dealer I have a choice of 2 Merc Bluetooth pucks that need to be added. Interested to know whether you find the same.

I would need to take a pic. It's prewired with a hemispherical protective cap over it in the upper armrest compartment.

Imagine that with a cover over it that I've never removed.

Yes, it does have a plastic cover over it...

As far as I know any of these will do the job:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/GENUINE-Vise...ht_2242wt_1139

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-Ben...#ht_500wt_1413

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ViseeO-MB-2-...ht_4564wt_1396

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ViseeO-MB-3-...#ht_2659wt_905 -this one being the best

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ViseeO-MB-4-...ht_5525wt_1396 -below here you can see the arm rest "knob" and the installation.

Installation video:

No trouble, that's what we're all here for.

I'll contribute where I can. I may be a newb, but nobody likes a freeloader
