Any thoughts on lambo doors I have found a good kit and seen it demo'd on a CL, and SL.
It looks really good, anyone else considered this mod???

I was considering it, and am still doing so but I put it off untill next summer. Have a few other things I want to do before, I think I will leave that for last.
There is a guy around me with a blk clk 500 Covertible with the lambo doors it looks absoultely crazy. Simply put jaw dropping. he has dropped with 19" Asantis rims in blk with the taillights smoked.

I did, until i found out that they have to drill into the frame of the car. Didn't like to idea. I was quoted $1,000 (without installation) for a full kit that brings the door up to a perfect vertical position. How much is yours?
There are companies out there that do it for $299. Would not do it on a Mercedes.

dont do it. you have a nice clk, dont ruin it. those types of doors are reserved for murcis, diablos, countachs, enzos, slrs, gullwings, etc. not w209's. maybe if you wanna make your car a show car, then thats a different story, but for a daily driver its retarded.

I would like to put some lambo doors on my car. There is a german company that produces really good ones. You can open them the normal way and if you want upwards. Their set is attached to the original spot. No extra drilling or welding! So if you wanna sell your car later on you can put it back to the original condition. Unfortunatly their 209 kit is still in progress.

I also will suggest that you skip it, but if you insist, you should find out about the availability of the Kleemann door mechanism like on the SL that opens and closes at the touch of a button.
