Has anyone else ordered these "xenon type" lights from partstrain.com or have pics of them installed? I'm exploring all possibilities of converting to projector lights before I finally break down and order oem from Steve.

those lights are just the housing, not xenon light, you also need to get the xenon bulb and ballast cost(200-400).. that will make the cost of the project 600(housing) + 250(hid. ballast)= 850. then you need dealer activation for xenon present.. lot of work.. just save yourself only $400 and it's not oem.. i would just go w/ the oem for 1250 or wait on ebay for a pair.

if you have a normal halogen light and we purchase a xenon headlamp, all we have to do is install and resest the computer inside the car right?
i called MB and they told me that if i plug it in i need to buy some kind of machine and or else the whole light set up will get burn. are all this information right?

MBWorld Fanatic!
My aftermarket xenon HIDs supposedly go for $650, I cut a deal with the guy and got them for $450 since he installed my AMG pedals and did a whole bunch of other junk. Those xenon-like lights look nice, but they aren't close to as bright or give the amount of illumination that real xenons give.
