Strange Smell

hey guys,

Did you guys notice strange smell sometimes? Sometimes I can smell something weird. Is this a known issue? If I'm not wrong I heard somehwere that it has to do with the exhaust/sulfur or something. I'm going for my next service soon.

Btw my car is a 2003 build CLK-320.

it's a byproduct of burning fuel and catalytic converters.The reason you smell it is because you were on the throttle a bit .If you dont push your car that much you will never smell it from your car as long as it's running properly.

I had that but they had a TSB on it and fixed it when I took it in for something else. Haven't had that smell since.

When I first got my car, when I'd go WOT the exhaust would always smell bad. Now I don't really smell it anymore.

it's usual.. I have the same thing in my clk... it happens usually when I go high on rpm... I get a bad smell from my exhaust like there is an oil leak... I actually freaked out at first but I got used to it now... engine is just 3000km old now so it will disappear soon I guess..
