Its probably your driving habits. The heavier the foot, the worse the mileage gets. Also, stop and go is worse than highway.

Have done 7000 Km and average is 10.1L/100Km which I think is very good for a 5 litre V8.

Not sure. I'm bring the car in at the beginning of May for it's 1k check-up.

I'm convinced it's simply the city driving as I really only use it to get to work. My commute is pretty much 4 miles on the freeway, and 16 in the city (combined).

I have 87,000 miles on my 209 (v6) and I can get from Jacksonville to Tampa (about 190 miles) in half a tank. Same as when it was new.

I have a CLK 200 K. The fuel consumption really depends on how you drive it. If I drive it aggresively, I will only get max 500 km range out of full tank (14 lt / 100 km). If I drive it like a good boy, I will get 550 -600 km (11-12 lt/100 km). If I am driving it on autobahn with lower speeds than 120 kmh (74 mph). I get around 700-800 km for full tank. If I am speeding around 140-150. I get around 600 km. If my average speed is faster than 170 kmh, I get less than 500 km/full tank of gas.

The lowest gas milage I have ever seen on my car is 6.1 lt/100 km.
Highest is 14 lt/ 100 km.

My car has 50000 km on it. I have tested it on all these speeds

I just added some carbon cleaner and some engine treatment, hope these would work. I have been driving the same, starting the 4th year of my car, the fuel economy went crazy. I would get 25L/100KM when i started the car....then it may go down to 15L/100km after few kilometers. It used to be much lower before, really don't know why.... or perhaps the engine oil sucks?
