While you are at it, you could also add flame decals to the sides and put neon lights underneath...and maybe a "chain" license plate frame...

You make no sense! In fact, the grill star looks 1 million times better than the hood star!
But of course, I can't tell you what to do. If you like it so much, then why ask, just do it. But don't say I didn't warn you when people start laughing.
Likuid5 is right, why don't you place some leopard cloth on the interior and some sticker in the back, my child is a birchwood booster, put the whole word MERCEDES on the windshield at the top and spraypaint the emblems GOLD.

The hood ornament would look fantastic if the grill was just a plain grill without the existing star in it. Have two giant stars up front though, is well, tacky 
. This is why the flat hood emblem goes well with the CL style grill.
