I finally was able to see both a CLK320 and CLK500 today, and let me tell you....they are hot!!! The 500 is just awesome with the AMG rims and bodywork. I placed an order back in June for a white 500, but from the feedback I received on here, that may not have been a good choice. I would hate to have to reorder it and wait even longer for the car. Delivery for my white 500 is the middle to end of October, and after seeing it today, I cannot wait until then!! Any feedback would be great!!

Black is always hot, and they had one there today. This will be my everyday car, so I will not get black....it needs to be a lighter color. They also had a silver 500, but my Acura is silver, and it seems that everyone has my car in silver.

I dont know....someone help??

I have only seen three colors...black, white and silver. I want to see some of the various shades of blue and firemist red. And, of course, I want to see a pewter like everyone else...

 

I posted something similar on another post. I think the white with charcoal would look phenomenal. The only problem with the white 500 (aside from the black plastic strip along the back) is the size of the rims. The car is far too sporty not to have larger shoes. The white one would look very nice with 19"s and some springs... It would give it such a wider stance. The car is great. In any color you will be thrilled. All in all, the largest problem for me with the car is that is sits on out-dated 17's. But that is something we shall have to remedy... I'm up to it!
ps Smoked a cheeseball tonite in a Boxster S. We got o the end of Bayshore and he asked me if my car was "a custom job". I told him "No." And I drove away...

 

Since your CLK is in Sept production. I don't see why not you can't change color. I'm sure your dealer will allow you to change color or add/delete options

Benzo, thanks again for your advice!!! I definitely think a larger rim on any 500 would look great! I do not care for the 320 with the 16 inch rims and the lack of the AMG package. I would be up for changing the rims...maybe to the ones that they put on the 55 next year?

nah. don't worry. I think u will be okay. just put 19s and spring and the car look amazing. I know a lot of people have reservation about white cars, but i am sure with time it will grow and it will be more rare. Lot of people did not like white m3 when it came out, but now i think it's the hottest color. i want to get white clk500 no matter what and i am pretty sure it will live up to my expectation.

Firemist Red and Capri Blue both can be both found on a SL.. I saw a capri blue SL with java interior and it was unordinary. You find a lot of Silver and Blacks on the road anyways..

Is that Ice Blue?

I ordered Ice Blue for my CLK320 after seeing one in the flesh - I really liked it. I didn't want black as I have a black Boxster S (now sold as I have a new family member on the way.... but also ) and it is a pain to keep clean/shows every stone chip and scratch. Everyone chooses silver and I wanted to be different. Every white Mercedes in the UK is a wedding car. And I hate green and red.

 

I hope that it is not Ice Blue...in reality, it was really more green than blue. From what I have seen, MB's Ice Blue resembles BMW Steel Blue Metallic color...

Trust me, no one would want this color CL 600...

 

Ice Blue is a pastel color...it looked almost light a light pistachio to me when I saw it at MBUSA's headquarters. I didn't like it at all. Just my opinion :P

I believe the blue in those pictures is Orion Blue. Ice Blue is MUCH lighter (ie. pastelish) and has a slight green tint to it. I believe MBUSA's website is fairly accurate with the color, but IMO it doesn't suit the CLK. You may like it though.

 

Those pictures look too dark - looks like Tansanite Blue (code 359).

Ice Blue (code 943) looked to me like a lighter silver/blue colour.

no i have not seen clk in white yet. I only seen one and that was silver. However, early next year after my world tour i plan to get a clk500 in white with two tone red leather. I think it's gonna look awesome. White on mercedes looks classy and stylish. I know some might think otherwise, but it's my money and i want to put it on something that is gonna please me first.

so i say yeah to white. also do a search someone posted a pix of the white one.
