Just got back from my nitrous tuner. I asked them about purge, remote bottle opener, bottle warmer, and changing to a 100 shot. They quoted my for 1700 for everything!
Without the bottle opener, its gonna be $1200. Do you guys think that is overpriced or worth it?

not if your still serious about picking up a CLS55.... once you get that which i hope you can, there will be no need for tuning but the money can go towards upgrading to the CLS instead of spending on a car you might want to get rid of... just my 2 cents

Thanks for the link! Silvers not really my color though, but I'm gonna look into it.

But yeah, I'm kinda of stuck on what to do with my car. I spoke to the dealer today and asked about a lease swap. He said he can't do it, my only bet is to find somebody like a friend who would want to take over my lease. Otherwise, my 2 options are to break the lease (Rough estimate was pay 10k up front or roll it into the new car's lease payment), or buy the car right now, then quickly sell it. I have to look into this second option. If I pull the NOS on this car and sell it how it is (nice big chrome rims) I might be able to break even. If thats the case then I can get into a new lease.

The next issue: I thought that since the CLS63 just came out, the 55's would take a hit and dealers would offer special deals to get rid of them. I love the 55 and would take it over the 63 anyway just because of torque and moddability (via EvoSport or Kleeman). Unfortunately, the dealer told me that a lot of consumers feel the same way as me, the 55k is a more brutal engine. He said that the 55's and 63's are priced almost identically and that since the 55's are limited production the prices might increase. He said an '06 CLS55 will be around 1,800 with 0 down. Its just too much for me, I was hoping there would be a discount because of the 63's, and I could get a used one. No luck . I then went to a chevy dealer to look at the new Z06 (After all, it is pretty badass looking and its the fastest thing on the road) and they said they will have 1 in stock in December, but by then it will probably be sold already. Lol

Regarding the z06 you can always find one on ebay or what not.... as for your lease if your serious about getting rid of it go down to www.swapalease.com im telling you they have a great success rate... my friend just put his clk500 on (he pays 690 per month) and already had 2 ppl contacting him..

And regarding the CLS55 maybe go for an e55? they were going for something like 999 at one point

Thanks man. I checked out swapalease, looks awesome. My next prob is running this by the old man, my car is under my father's name so I have to see if he will allow somebody else to take over the lease.

I thought the CLS55 would be perfect, but after looking around ebay I'm starting to see some nice 996 turbo's out there. I'm just gonna see what happens, I'll let you know. Peace bro

I know, thats what's killing me. I'd buy it in a heartbeat but I can't get out of this lease without putting up some serious dough.

Yeah, its pretty expensive to get out of your lease. Have you tried a service like LeaseTrader.com? Depending on how badly you want to get out of your lease, you might consider "subsidizing" the payment for someone else - it would be a lot cheaper than $10K.

I think I'm just gonna keep it for now. I'll get a 100 shot installed, bottle warmer, and nitrous purge. That should keep me happy for a couple of months Lol.

I used the NOS on the parkway yesterday for the first time. Its awesome. I floored my car for 5 seconds, then hit the NOS for a couple of seconds and its an instant boost, you feel the torque immediately and see the speedometer go from 80-100 almost instantly. I love it.

Did you blow the engine? I've been thinking of running somewhere between a 50-100 shot on my kleemann s/c 55 but want to see someone do it first, I dont want to blow my engine. 12.2s quarter seems VERY fast in a N/A SLK55. Thats almost he best s/c E55 times and you have about 100hp and orque less. You have a video of the run?

no the engine is fine.

I have video, just have to do the capture. have not run it at the track since I tried it and the WOT switch failed. but on the street, I have used about 40lbs testing and big differences when the drag radials are on the car. with out it just spins when it is engaged.

12.2 is just D/R's and the filters. look at the MPH less than 2mph than just about every slk traps at. the D/R's are taller than the stock tires, could also have a little to do with the filters

It was just a good run on a very hot day. after waiting 4 hrs for them to decide if they would call for the rain or dry the track

Still have not done a NOS run on the track. I'm hopping to do this before the meet in Atlanta

Damn, 125 shot is pretty nice. How many times have you used the 125 shot? I am very close to upgrading to a 100 shot but if a 125 shot will work then I won't waste any time . Is it wet, dry, direct?

I ran against my friend last night with his E55 Evosport Stage 1. My bottle was freezing cold. We went from like 20-100, every time he beat me by about 2-4 car lengths. The torque on that thing isn't fair, lol. But it proves my car is damn fast if I'm able to keep up like that. I used the spray for a couple of seconds on each run.
