Did the CLK550 just screw us 500 owners.

I just went to check the trade in value of my '04 500 at KBB and Edmunds. My jaw about dropped when I got quotes of 26/27K! Even private sale was only around 33k. Dealer selling the same car would get 42K.

You gotta be kidding me? 27K for a 2004 with only 26,000 miles? Is that because of the model?

Please tell me I can get more than this on a trade in? PLEASE.

Nebraska, this is why some of us lease its easier on our pocket and gives us peace of mind to just return the car when the term is complete.

These prices are good for the buyer looking to buy a 2-3 year old Mercedes. Thats about it. Thats why I ALWAYS lease.

Yup, I got a lease too. Right now I'm trying to break my lease and get into a used CLS55, but no luck, dealer said it'll cost 10,000 up front to break my lease. Leases are good if you want to stick with the car. If you get bored with cars easy, they suck.

If you leased your car how did you mod it like that? Won't the dealership get mad or will you just take off everything before you turn it in?

Everybody asks me that...I really don't have an answer, Lol. I'm gonna take out as much as I can, and the rest, the dealer can deal with. I'll probably wind up getting another Benz so I don't think Mercedes will try charging me or anything. I just want to enjoy what I have now.
