My car has FINALLY arrived! (w/pictures)
Ahhhhhhhh. I didn't think getting the car would be this satisfying, but it really is. I flew home today, and got a chance to see and drive my baby. I haven't gotten a chance to drive the car too much yet, but all I can say is that I'm thrilled about it. Check out the pictures I took of it this afternoon:

Looks good!!! And no holes in the front bumper!
So just exactly how long did it actually take to get it ( from order to pick up ) ?
Any regets? Are you going to add any chrome wheels?

A Mercedes-Benz does not deserve "bling" wheels. I hate that crap.

MBWorld Fanatic!
does your car have the aluminum pedals w/ the rubber nibs? you emergency brake looks like a rubber pad - if they look similar to the SL's, i'd replace that pad.

Alright.. I'm back with my first impressions of the car..
I can say right now that I am nothing short of thrilled with it. I'm very sick at the moment (probably larengitis) so I'm going to keep this short and sweet.. but I had a huge smile on my face for the 4-hour drive back to school yesterday. The car is a pleasure to drive. I really have so much confidence driving it.. I can't wait until she's broken in a little and I'm a little more used to driving it.

I know its a cliche' - but the pictures really do not do the car justice. The feeling of sitting behind the wheel with all that power and luxury around you.. mmmmm
The interior of the car is *SO* ridiculous.. I'm still learning the ins and outs of the car's electronics (mostly the COMAND system..), and its all a pleasure to learn.
I'm really still in awe at the fact that this beast known as the CLK500 is mine... Last week - the nicest car on campus here at my school was a 2001 Red (w/tint) CLK430. Its still a nice car.. but I think the owner of that car needs to just know his role and step aside - there's a 500 in town now!

hah.. you've got a fine car; just take care of it, and study hard (if you do, it might morph into an SL55 some day).
Had mine at the Univ. of Miami campus the other day, and to my surprise lots of 'thumbs up'. So much for those who thought the new CLK wouldn't be well received. Lots of positive reaction; now I only have to find the free time to really enjoy it...
(By the way, had a window control module go out...anyone else encounter that?). The V60 works most of the time, sometimes it seems I have to sort of 'reboot' the sound system/voice recog. by stopping and restarting the car... maybe a 'keyless go' issue; but it only happened twice, and nobody has a clue that I've heard.
Congrad's again...

Hey likuid,
Do you like your charcoal interior. I was afraid to order it here in Florida. My car sits outside. My ash interior on my current CLK gets hot enough. Dou you have any kind of heat where you are at and if so, do you ever wish you got ash. I can change my order until I get my build date. What to do?

Rusboy,
Those car look great. I really like the chrome wheels........wish I had a close up of them.
What size are they, did you stagger the wheel size front to rear or just go with one size?
Looks good RT
