ECU Upgrade

For those who already have installed ECU upgrade in thier car, please let me know which products are good or where they sell.
I tried to install on my car (2004 CLK 320), but my question is I can feel the difference before&after?

Thank you,

I had mine done at speedtuningUSA. It got rid of the top speed limiter and gained some power and torque. I also got better throttle response.Best $300 i ever spent. No need to spend $1000 or $2000 for other NAME brand software. Good luck.

I had my chip done my speedtuning also very good experence. I agree with fastdonzi ive had it 160 and it was still pulling a little, probly max a 177 or so. However the stock clk500 suspension and such isnt made for that speed kinda unstable needs more downforce. You need to do a search i did a write up with a diy to show whats involved its real easy check it out.

I decided to do my ECU after i read stallion's write up.I drove down to see Oliver [SpeedtuningUSA] the day after Thanksgiving.2.5 hours from my house. He remapped it on the spot in 10 minutes with the laptop. No need to remove the computer.I figured $300 is better then $1000 plus i had someone nearby to go back to if something goes wrong.I'm not a big fan of shipping stuff cross country and having my car down for a couple of days or so.

By the way, Rsatmans made a good point about a stock clk500 being a little loose at high speeds with stock suspension. The day after i remapped the ECU i got H&R springs installed. The look and the feel of the car now is great. well worth the $850 i spent.

Is doing the ECU upgrade still worthwhile if you are running an automatic? I could go for a little more power, but I wonder if its just going to be lost by the transmission..

not sure about their pricing, but I heard that Evosport in Huntington Beach does good work...

http://www.evosport.com/product/default.aspx

also a place where I got some mods done in L.A. (RB Tech) does ECU upgrades...they upgrade the ECU while you wait...Ask for Ray
