Finally!! Pix of mods & custom audio
I got a lot of stuff done to the car, and it makes the drive more enjoyable.
Mods: 19" rims/tires (black & stainless steel lip), Eibach springs(1.2 all around) & damper kit, blacked out/chrome grill, Brabus style front bumper w/OEM fogs, smoked taillights, Magnaflow exhaust, ECU upgrade, K&N filters, Alpine head unit & 6 disc changer, stock speakers w/15" subwoofer and custom enclosure w/800watt amp...
any suggestions on other mods..? I was thinking of trunk spoiler, but worried about the double sided tape issue..

Torrence isn't far at all...I have friends that live in Hermosa Beach, so I'm up there often...
how's your ride treat'n you?? I test drove the CLK500 and loved it, but the price difference was crazy, so I picked up the CLK320 for now...my buddy is a salesguy @ Fletcher Jones and he told me to wait for the CLK550's...

Yeah I wanted a 550 but the price was too much. Hopefully by the end of the year I can get into a CLS55 or CLS550. I love the CLK its pretty comfy and sportier than my 2006 525i. I just didnt need all that room and the V8 is soooo much better and much more fun. Where did you get your radio set up? I cant find a spot to mess with my car they are all afraid to touch it. Can your friend give some good deals? lol

just a remap of the existing one...remove rev limiter, increase hp/tq (air/fuel mixture)
I must admit, with the K&Ns and exhaust, there is a big difference vs. stock. The car has 'more' pick up and on the freeways--the top end is nice. Not bad for a 320. I'm saving my pennies for an AMG (CLK or E)

Nice!!!
is the rear trunk spoiler stock on your car or is it aftermkt?
I'm wanting to put one on my ride, but not sure which brand...I think the trunk spoiler makes a big, but subtle look to the car...I like clean lines...

Yes, it's the stock spoiler.
I was also thinking about adding a roof spoiler, but can't figure out what brand to go with.

You guys want to have a meet for some S.CA clk owners?
nothing big, maybe choose a night club in Hollywood or Sunset to park our cars upfront. I'm from O.C.

hey clk2k3,
didn't you post pix of your car some time ago?? I can't remember when, but I think you had your exhaust done in South OC, right? I was thinking of doing another exhaust mod...

Mark Cummins--wow, that's a lot of stuff...I think half the things you listed will be under consideration, but thanks...(you got my mod vibes flow'n again..LOL) When I originally got my stereo set up, I was using the stock head unit and obtaining 'the signal' from the stock set up--in order to run my subwoofer & amp combo, but before long, the signal wasn't strong enough to power the wattage....long story short, I got frustrated with the
< 100% sound & power and swapped out the stock head unit and put in the Alpine set up...I only lost the volume controls on the steering wheel--no big deal since I have an Alpine remote....
Clk2k3--that was you> cool exhaust!! not bad price for the install too.
well, regarding the mods, I started the mods well before the baby was born...I just learned to save & spend wisely...LOL. I do a lot of researching though, but ultimately, having some great 'hook-ups' always seems to help..
rcoppens--I have the Alpine CDA-9847...it's not the newest model, but it serves the purpose and the look & finish on it was the only one (at the time) that matched the interior and had the exact fitment of the center..no cutting was required. The head unit 'kit' was designed for the '04 C class...
The sub set up was unique since I still wanted to 'have' trunk space but have the bass directed into the car...the way MB insulates their cars makes for little rattle on the outside. Plus I wanted my system 'stealthy', but when I drive with the back seat rest down, it's pure THUMP...LOL.

Actually, the Alpine head unit is strong enough to power all interior stock speakers, so the BOSE amp is not being used...The sub is powered soley by the Fosgate amp...the head unit allows a separate 'out' for the sub...the sub amp also has its own bass *** control which allows for quick adjustments--its located right next to the car's hood release lever...maybe we should meet up so you can see it personally.

....also, once you remove the stock head unit, you will lose the volume control on your steering wheel...MB sets up their wiring via fiber optic. If you were to install an Alpine, then you would use traditional wiring (RCA's)
...by the way, didn't realize you were in Ontario Cananda (thought you were in Ontario California)....
