2004 CLK 500: iPod?
Thanks a bunch!

Do search on AUX input. I opted to tap into the tape section of my standard head unit. Others have bypassed their CD changer with one of the available interfaces.
Edit - after re-reading the inital post, I see that you do have COMMAND but not the manual. And as above, you should have a small mini audio jack in your glovebox. Plug in your ipod, set the COMMAND to the AUX input and you're all set.
Can anyone tell me what options exist?
Thank you in advance!

You might want to check out either the Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty or the JL Audio Cleansweep systems. They're designed to integrate aftermarket sound systems with picky OEM setups.
The JL Audio Cleansweep system will allow you to integrate your Ipod with the steering wheel controls. It's reasonably priced.

Also wondering if I can just swap out the radio in the 2004, with one for the 2005 CLK?

Another "Simple" option is what I did. I found instructions on this forum for tapping into the tape section of the standard non-Command MB head unit. Now, when I play my MP3 player, I select "Tape" on the head unit and my MP3 player plays perfectly through the factory stereo with volume controls on the steering wheel.
Check out this thread. I followed the instructions and it worked perfectly:

Check out the thread that I posted above this one. It provides very detailed instructions for doing it.
