I just finished installing mine and took it out for a drive. The car does feel quicker on the pickup, but I didn't experience any shaking.

Did you snap the airbox back into place properly? I don't think any mod should make your engine shake to the point were it's noticeable while riding in the car.

you may just do a double-check on the fitment of the air box....make sure you tighten the housing which holds the filters, then make sure the entire air box is snug...

the only other thing I can think of if extra oil was added to the filters (which is not required if they are brand new) before installing them...the extra oil can damage the Air mass sensor....

Your Mass air flow sensor probably went because of the oil in the K&N.

Yup, its the MAF sensor. I had the same problem and once I installed a new one it disappeared.

Just a guess - maybe you just didn't secure the gasket seal at the back of the filter housing? It takes a bit of muscle to get back on and I would guess that a bad seal might make the airflow highly irregular if it's jumping on and off the seal.

The shaking is caused by misfiring due to inappropriate fuel and air ratios. You need a new Mass Airflow Sensor as others have suggested. Continuning to drive your car with it misfiring could potentially damage your engine, so get it fixed soon.

I had the same problem when I changed just the airl filter to K&N, it cost me 600$ to fix the stupid problem.
