Anyone here has H&R Coilovers on W209?
My friend has an H&R coils on his CLK320. And when dropped at its lowest, the suspension cup at the front touches his tire. He has 19in Brabus MB VI with 235/35 Continental tire. This problem persists so he ended up changing to 235/35 Falken tire. Even then the coils can't be lowered to the max.
Anyone had this problem before?

I thought H&R didn't make coilovers for the 209, I'm confused...can someone explain this to me, I contacted H&R and they said they don't have coilovers for the 209 only for the C-class

203/209 fit
yes the stuff will fit, but you may have an issue due to your 500 having a heavier engine being no c class has a v8, if you preload the springs to support the extra weight it could give you problems but be assured the fit will be compatable

thx for the reply clkguy
but can you explain me more what would happen to the coil over because of the added weight on the CLK 500 compare to C class
and do you know any modification that it could be done to modfy the coil over or it might be to expensive to do it and it is better to just buy the PSS9 for w209

preload
preload is the amout you have to adjust the spring tension to support the weight of the car, if the spring is too soft for supporting the weight of a lighter front end you would have to tighten too much for a heavier car which would lead to a harsh ride, most coilovers use a progressive spring and this over tension would invalidate the funtion of the spring leading to a unbalance ride, firm rear and overly stiff front, but my guess is that this would not be the case with a pss9 kit or any quality brand, i mention this as a concern so you make sure upon purchase that kit is focussed around a specific application

thx for the reply, I would not know anything abt if you did not mention it, thx for the suggestion. *SIGH* guess I stuck with PSS9 then. anyway how often you change the damper setting on your PSS9? the reason I asked this question is if one do not change the damper setting that often then actually CO like PSS would actually be okay rite.
