How many miles are on your CLK?
I have 47,000 miles on mine.
I am curious how long all of you keep your cars......
I am not leasing.
I want to keep my car for a while, but I will not continue to mod the car if I see a ton of feedback that shows me big problems from 50k to 100k miles.
I would just assume get another CLK with lower miles.....
Where are you on this?

I got rid of my '03 CLK500 with 40,000 miles on it. The transmission had a problem and the suspension was worn. I also felt a noticeable powerloss. I have an '07 550 now and the difference is night and day. I'd save the money and use it towards a new one.

62K, had the car a little over 5 years (launch model). Other than the tranny replacement for the coolant issue at around 29K, no major issues. Ran better from 30K to 60K than from 0 to 30K.
if you're talking about trading it in for purely monetary reasons, your depreciation hit on a new car for the first 36K miles will most definitely be more than any potential maintenance on your current car for 36K more miles. now if you just want a new car for new car's sake/avoid time cost of repairs, you'll have to weigh that for yourself

Thanks for all your feedback. I do appreciate it.
I don't know what it is, but for some reason, I get great deals on vehicles. I got my 04' clk500, w/ 16k miles, for $32,000. that was 2 yrs ago.
I just picked up a 04' lincoln aviator, 6 mths ago for 20k.
I guess I have good luck.
That's why I have been curious weather I should turn in my car for a newer model..... I was just offered an 07 clk550 w/ 10k miles for $39k.![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Today..... I was driving my 500 in and out of traffic with a BIG B continental GT, and I realized...... I really love my ride.
After the work I have done.....and will do, I don't wanna give her up.
I have had the choice to get a 05 S500, 04 sl500, but the bottom line is, I really love the CLK model.
Thanks again peeps.

i've seen an ad online for a 550........fully loaded, black about 10k miles and only 39k. not sure if thats the one you're talking about (they discussed that dealer website on the amg s forum i think....selling an 07 s65 for like 135k, they thought it was shady). a 550 is worth around 50k now, so if they're willing to let it go for 40, there MAY be something wrong with it, crash/collision. at least run carfax, not great but better than nothing.

But I think I need to do some more homework on this company. They are in Union, NJ - name is 21st Century Auto Group.

yea that was the site. there was actaully a white one they had up too, basically same car........fully loaded, already sold for 39k i think. be careful though, you gotta ask yourself how come the same dealer has clk350's for $38k and this 550 for 39k. I know its a hot deal, but go check it out. i think its in union nj or something so you should definitely take a look at it and see if theres and frame damage. thats more important than cosmetic damage cause you cant replace the frame. but definitely update us on it

I got mine in March 2006 and it currently has 12,000 miles on it. I'm looking for a new car already.

11 E550 Cabriolet
Got my 05 CLK500 in Dec 04. Has 15,500 miles on it. Have extended 100k warranty till Dec 2011. Was thinking of trading it on an E550 but I found I'd be taking a huge hit on the trade-in.

I wanted to get this info out there and see if anyone has had any experiences with this company, positive or negative so I could get more information.
Thanks for looking out.

2004 Silver CLK500
![Thumbs up](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif)
I have had my 2004 CLK500 since December 2004. Been very pleased with the car, and have almost 50,500 miles on it now.
A relavent question is what is the life of suspension on these cars. I have Kleemann suspension on the car for the past 40,000 miles.
