First of all, I fitted a Sprint Booster. Now some may call it a 'gimmick', some may say just boot the gas pedal harder. However, I find the Sprint Booster a delightful mod (when I got the correct version!). It just sharpens up the throttle feel and the most noticable difference is the time lag between throttle movement and kickdown. With the Sprint Booster, especially in Sports mode, the lag is significantly less noticable. I love it!

Then I upgraded the stock stoppers to my favourite Brembo GTs. Once again, thanks to Jlevi for his impeccable service. Never thought even with the Atlantic Ocean separating us, my mods are so accessible at such a good price.
I went back to the standard 4-pot front calipers. The 6-pot on my Z4M were more linear but the pedal travel was also noticably longer. The 4-pot has a more aggressive pedal feel. The initial bite is significant 'sharper'.

I was toying with the idea of coilovers for my CLK, but after much deliberation, I concluded that coilovers will spoil the whole Mercedes Benz experience. The CLK350 is not a sports car. It's a boulevard cruiser. Go fast, look good. I want a drop to reduced those gaping gaps between the tyres and the wheel arches, I don't want to compromise ride comfort too much, I'm not too bothered if it didn't go round corners any better than it is doing, as long as the new suspension doesn't make things worse.
So, Eibach Pro Kit was the natural choice.

Car cleaned and the springs were merely overnight old. So they haven't fully settled. But here's how she looks now. How you like it.

Wow..I didn't know you can order the Clk 350 with AMG body kit. I used to have the KW coil over kit for my 2006 Clk 500 Cabriolet but removed the KW only after about 2 weeks. I then when with Eibach springs and Bilstein sport shocks and love it. I also swith out the pads for even fender gap.
The brakes are 355x32mm with 4-piston calipers front and 328x28mm with 4-pot calipers rear.
Eibach springs I got them cheap on ebay. You can get them for around $180 I would think.
I just changed the springs. The Pro Kit works very well with the OEM sport shocks, plus mine are merely 3000 miles old!
I've just bought a set of AMG Styling 4 18"s from ebay, refurbing them at the minute. Would be interesting to see if they make the car more aggressive, with some spacing. The Styling 3 I've got at the moment are beautiful rims, but each time I see a CLK55, I can't help but think the car looks more aggressive. Since the body styling is almost exactly the same, the rims must have made the difference.

You should go for AMG style 6 18"s (fitted in CLK63)
I think the rear rotors are installed wrong? Look at the front rotor, and how the drilled holes and the way its pattern is. And look at the rear rotors. The holes have a different pattern from the front? So basicly you have the right rotor installed on your left and vice versa? Some one correct me if I'm wrong.

if you dont mind me asking how much did brembos coast you, rotors and calipers?

The pattern of the drilled holes is irrelevant as long as the internal cooling vanes spin 'trailing'Originally Posted by phatisfy

yea, I didn't know because every car I have seen with drilled rotors have the same pattern on each side.
Just swapped over to the AMG Styling 4.
Asthetically, the look smaller than the Styling 3, but I find the twin spoke design add more subtle aggression to the smooth lines of the CLK. 10mm H&R spacers on their way which will improve the stance more.
They really accentuate the Brembos though, with the front calipers completely filling the wheel spoke cavities, and make the brakes look huge!
