Long Wait for CLK
Just talked to a Mercedes salesman about ordering a new CLK and he indicated at the wait is about a year or more. WOW!!!!!!!!!Might have to keep the 430.

ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THE 320 OR THE 500 I ASSUME YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THE 500 SINCE YOU HAVE A 430. I HAVE ORDERED A CLK 320 AND SHOULD RECIEVE IT AT THE END OF NOV. OR THE FIRST OF DEC. IT HAS BEEN ABOUT THREE MONTHS. THERE SEEMS TO BE A LONGER WAIT FOR THE CLK 500?
LET USE KNOW IF YOU ORDER AND WHAT COLOR COMBINATION WOULD YOU ORDER AND OPTIONS?

Yes, a 500 CLK. He actually said the 03 55s would be easier to get. Hope he is not pulling my chain.

This is very true, the allocation on the W209 is very light. Our dealer is one of the top three volume dealers in the country & we have only a handful of 320's & 500's incoming. The next hurdle is that all those cars are spoken for with deposits. The best case scenaro is a car with a build date in late Feb. to early March.

I have a 500 on order (have since early July). I have a tentative build date of early January. I went to the dealer and we went through all their orders because I felt I was getting the runaround (Had been originally told an Oct delivery date).
It appears that the cars in the queue are mainly the old 208 cabriolet builds, a few 320 209's and then I am the first 500 followed by some 55's. So, looks like a lomg wait for me, even though I ordered relativley early.

Have you guys ever considered the European Delivery? I did that and my CLK is coming by middle of December. Got to drive it in Europe for 4 days and you do not even have to pay for your destination charges. Complimentary 2 nights at a 5 stars hotel and a full tank of gas to go anywhere. The only catch is that you have to buy your plane ticket to get there. It only cost me $330 round trip.

I ordered in May/June and I was slated for a September/October delivery. I changed something and had to reorder in September - I already received my car.
Perhaps all of these sales people are trying to get you to buy one of the cars that they buy, sell and then immediately buy back so that they can sell them as used and price them above MSRP?

Ordered the CLK 500 today and I should get it by the time I start collecting Social Security.
Alabaster White, Charcoal Interior, K3 Package, Heated Seats, Navigation Package, CD changer, Floor Mats, Illuminated Door Seals, Wood/Leather Steering Wheel, Will install Chrome wheels when it comes in. Also, will have the Lorinser rear facia/dual exhaust package installled. That's all Folks
