Got my new wheels!
After much deliberation, I eventually decided on these OEM AMG Styling 4 2-piece wheels.
Not a direct fit on the CLK, but special 'hybrid' bolts with 14mm radius seats were required to fasten the wheels properly onto the CLK's hub.
19X8.5 fronts and 19X9.5 rears. I spaced the rears out another 10mm on each side but the front offset is perfect!
I also swapped the Eibach Pro Kit out for a set of H&R springs. The drop is a lot more even front and rear.
Here are some pics .......
The visual improvement on 19"s is staggering I love them!

Thanks
My car is the European Sport model, it comes with all the cosmetic AMG trimmings and even the exhaust.
I really like how the car ride on the H&R springs. Much better body control without significant loss in comfort (TBH, I prefer a tighter chassis with some sacrifice in comfort). The Eibachs were still too soft to my liking and the OEM sport springs made my car behave like a boat.

(Bolt pack 4 or 4L)
Because of the 10mm spacer I used at the rear, I had to order in slightly longer 35mm shank length bolts.
The wheels were originally off an SL55, ET30 front, ET31 rear. You might have front brake caliper clearance issue with the CLS fitment wheels despite similar offsets. Do double check.

wow.. I totally dig those wheels!!! Effing hot.. hey.. my wallet just ran for cover. Damn. Did you get those as take-offs from a supplier or new from MBZ? Those offsets are pretty close to what the 208 needs (within 5mm). Hmmmmm I have aftermarket wheels but they seem sorta ghetto.... looking for something more classy than what I have. Glad I stumbled into this thread!

They are too expensive new, especially from an MB dealer. I sourced them from ebay Germany, a wheel at a time. Took me 2 months. They are used, 3 in very good condition and one with some minor scuffs to the diamond cut rim which I have to repair. Otherwise, great buy as they cost me a quarter of what they originally cost.

will any 230 wheels work with brake clearance issue? I can just get the sl55 5spoke that look just like the cls55 rims if there's a problem with clearance.
i wonder if there are any US suppliers of the bolts...anyone??

i was advised this
You need tyres that will keep you on the tarmac. Either Toyo or Yokohama for grip. You could fit Falken (made by GDY/Dunlop Japan).
what is your impressions of the tyres, i.e noise, ride comfort, handling

Later in the year, if the current Mayor gets re-elected, yes £25 per day to enter London City during peak hours (6.30 - 18.30).
I don't drive to work (I take the metro), so this doesn't affect me. Even if I drove to work, there's no way I could park my car!

The FK-452s, they surprised me. They are really superb tyres. Grip fantastically and a lot quieter during crusing. For that price, the FK-452s are no brainer really.
