Lightbulb I ordered Firemist but dealer has Black now - Should I go for it?

I ordered a CLK 320 in April (yea, I know)

There are still 3 cars ahead of me and I will not recieve the car before February.

The car I ordered:

FIREMIST RED
K3 Package (Sunroof, Power Rear-Windo Sunshade)
K4 (Bi-Xenon Headlights)
Heated Front Seats
Keyless Go
Parktronic

The car the dealer has:

Black
K3 Package (Sunroof, Power Rear-Windo Sunshade)
Heated Fronts Seats

In your opinion, are the options and preferred color choice worth the futher wait?

Go with the firemist. Black in my humble opinion looks great but is a pain to maintain.

you've waited this long...what's another 2 months...especially to get the color and options you wanted in the first place.
Remember you are gonna have the car for years, so you don't want to regret your decision a couple of months down the road.

Just my 2 cents...

but given its a CLK...you can't really go wrong 8-)

Firemist Red

I saw Firemist Red in person and it looks like any other ordinary car. Black really stands out. All my cars, Honda, BMW, and the new CLK are black. If you are getting the CLK, you therefore must like cars as much as I do and maintaining it shouldn't be any problem. Red on the new CLK somehow makes the car look too normal.

I haven't called him yet to find out, but I don't think they have really been dealing on any of them. There are quite a few people on the list for black cars so it's not like they would have a hard time selling it.

I saw the Firmist E class and my heart started pounding. I love the color and it's the closest I can get to red. Black is very attractive but I am not really good with getting a car washed as often as I should.

In reality I think my dilema is more about the options than the color.

Smile Firemist Red

In this case, I think you should wait for your car if metallic red is your choice of color!

Used to be a CLK430
If options are your issue, I would wait it out. I have a 99 W208 and sometimes it really pisses me off that I don't have steering wheel controls ~ should have bought a 2000! To me, Keyless Go and Xenons are a big plus!

Thanks for the info. I was definitely worried about having regrets for not waiting for my options.

getting YOUR color

If I were you I'd wait and get the color you ordered. If you buy the black, although it's sharp, it'll be impossible to keep clean. Also, you will, for the life of the car, always regret not getting the red one you really wanted.

I would wait if I were you. The Keyless Go, Bi-Xenon headlights and Parktronic are really cool options. Better to wait and get what you wanted rather than being sorry later

Have a Firemist '00 clk 320 cab. I have never had so many compliments on a car.

Also, you don't see very many in that color, (3 in 3+ yrs).

"Traditionalists" seem to like MBs in only black or silver. Be different & be stylin. Wait for the red.

(Have a '04 clk cab in quartz blue on order)

Wait for yours, since its a later production by a month or so it may have the updated window seals.

wait for the firemist because it has the option you want.

nickv, my car sometime still pisses me off even though it is a ordered car. The reason is that i change my mind too late about getting the Command sys. The car was already in production when i decide to change.

Thank you all for your advice.

I have decided to wait. I know it will be worth it.
