Car Hesitates...
I drive a 2004 CLK320.
Happened twice already in the past few weeks. When I stopped at the light, there was vibrations with the car. I could see that the RPM went up and down. It felt like the car would die but it did not.
Also, in another 2-3 occasions, when I stepped on the gas after a red light, the car would hesitate and would not move. It went back to normal after a few seconds.
I am bringing in my car to the dealership later this week. Anything I should look for?

The same thing happens to mine!!! For me it started happening after I switched to K&N filters. I just ordered the green filters to switch them and see if it makes a difference.

I am using a stock air filter.
I did some research in this forum and the problem may come from a bad ignition coil.

I took mine to the dealer and they said everything was fine I just needed a software upgrade to the computer. They did it and for the most part it went away but I still feel it sometimes.

you still feel it sometimes ...you are not suppose to feel it because they already fixed . So did you order your green filter yet?? I hope not...and hey how much did they charge you to upgrade the software???

So they say they fixed it.....I ordered the filters anyway they should be getting here this week. The upgrade was like $250 but the guy told me my car would be ready on Tuesday and it wasn't ready till Wednesday so he gave it to me for $150

My CLK is a daily commute but just happened that I did not drive my car for a few days. My appointment with the dealership is next week. I will report if they find something.
This happens to me only 4 times in the last month. Other possibilities are moisture in the gas line (winter/summer changeover), bad gas, etc....

[QUOTE=M-bENZ;2796572]
The only mods I did to my CLK are all cosmetics: Wood steering wheel and 17-inch AMG wheels.
The rest are all OE.
