Hey guys, i have a 2003 CLK 500, i just bought the w203 comand 2.0. My car never came with the comand installed and i wanted to install the comand. My question is will i have to buy a new wiring harness for this comand unit? Or i can just use my car's factory harness? And does anyone know how to remove our stock radios? I have audio 10 i think. Any input is greatly appreciated. thank you very much.

Dude, you've been on here for a while, I thought you would know.
I'm fairly positive (89.2%) you will need a new harness. Does it have NAV? Then you'll need the antenna and some other stuff too.
My parts guy keeps telling me that it would be so much cheeper to go aftermarket, than it would to upgrade.

yeah i have been here for a while but i never had a comand in any of my cars...I did some research too and was confused so i thought i should ask you guys...Yeah it would be cheaper to go aftermarket but it be good. I already got the comand and its coming in with the gps antenna...I guess ill just go to the dealer and ask for a w203 harness.

NO New harness needed...The Comand can be added with a few changes to the wire harness..add a antenna and speed sensor

up to the 2005s it is sooooooo easy to retrofit comand (and fairly cheap as well)...2005 and up is about the same deal (easy) but costs a bit more...and in a 2005 CLK one cannot fit a 203 comand.
