Help on 2003 clk 320 color!!

Hello,

I have been searching for pics on the orion blue the closest I have found is this:

http://www.supercars.net/servlets/PW...eRed/1car1.jpg of course the pic seems great because it was taken professionally I was just wondering if anyone had this car in the orion blue, I can not decide between that and the black one

https://mbworld.org/forums/attachmen...&postid=176262

the black one looks awesome but I hear it is too dirty, and to get it in orion blue it is special order which is going to cost an extra $1.5 k, which isn't a problem if I see pics of the car and like it!

I am getting it hopefully 1st week in March I already left a deposit and they need to start the Build in a couple of weeks so I need to decide ASAP

thanks in advance for any input or pics!

I like the classic silver but color is personal. BTW with the new 3.5 to be released for the 04 MY, see if the 04's might be available early...it may be worth another 2-3 months.

I saw an orion blue CLK320 at my local dealer recently. It looked much brighter and shinier than the picture that you found. A small glare of purple can be seen at different angles..... Really stands out in the crowd and certainly an eye catching color....

I have seen the orion blue in a 208 style and it is very bright. I think the picture you posted is capri blue I could be wrong. I agree with the person who said it is a brighter color then the picture you posted. There is a capri blue car on the picture thread number 3 check it out. It was a big deal for me to pick out the color of my new 209 I think the car looks better in a darker color. My cars before have always been silver. I chose to go dark and went with the black opal it will be harder to keep clean but the car looks great in the black opal. good luck in picking the color but do some more research on trying to see the color of the car before you order. I think that this orion blue is very bright but if you like that go for it. Have the dealer find any mercedes in that color to see if you like it.

Host Dime...

hate to tell you this, but if your car is gonna be delivered the first week of March, then you probably have a late January/early February build date.

If that is the case, it is too late to change the color on your car. My build date is Jan. 26, and I called last Thursday to make a change. But the dealer informed me that my car was already loaded in the production system, and it was too late to make any major change.

I hope my dealer was wrong, but I am pretty sure he was telling the truth. Good luck to you on your attempt to make a change.

Oh yeah, if you are a stickler for taking care of you car, black is not that hard to keep clean. Just my 2 cents!!!

thanks for the replies so far,

I don't think that may be the capri blue compare:

I just wish somone had real pics of the car in that color, I went to the local dealer in Daytona Beach and they do not have any in that color, I may have to drive to orlando dealer and see the color. I talked to the dealer today and the build is still on the safe side, I just need to make up my mind very soon on what I want.

I am just very confused on which if anyone comes across the orion blue pics please let me know thanks

Orion blue looks much to blue in my taste to suit the 209.
The CLK is an elegant car, and i think it should have a more discrete color. Orion blue would look great on a VW Golf GTI or a 4x4 Subaru rally kind of car.

But color choices are personal. Nothing is right or wrong.

Below link have some photos of what I think is an Orion W209.
