I beleive it's the distance setting thumbwheel for Distronic, on automatic cars its on the bezel of the shifter area but with the manual there is no bezel so it's on the dash.

This is a switch to adjust the head lights in cars that do not have Bi-Xenon or Xenon lights. So when you have a lot of load in your car or people and the car nose goes up - you can lower them with this switch to help light up the road better and not blind others. Its not distronic - and manual clk's are popular outside the us and they come in 200K, 240, and 270 CDI combos..

Yes, it's a manual CLK. The CLK 270 CDI (a diesel CLK!!), the CLK 200 KOMPRESSOR, the CLK 200 CDI and the CLK 240 have a 6-speed manual transmission. A manual is not available on the 320, 500, or 55 AMG. There's even a diesel ML270 in Europe, with a 5-speed manual trans (still built in Alabama).
