Bored again -
Bought 1 yard of CF fabric from Eurodyne a couple of months ago and waited a while to install it. Had some spare time today and decided to wrap the panels. Here it is. I did better than I initially thought I'd do, not really creative or good with my hands but hey I decided to do it anyways since I was so tired of the wood look. Everything was simple, took about a couple of hours to get everything wrapped. I know, I'll get knocked by some of y'all for doing this but I know some will appreciate it as well . My motto: do what you want with your ish.. Enjoy....

not that hard at all, only got two hands so unfortunately no DIY! Expect to get sticky hands from the 3M fabric adhesive but I'm pretty sure some of y'all are use to it . The hardest part is the Radio - AC control trim but if your head's right it'd be self explanatory.

Looks good and clean. I like it! But I think I like the original trim better though. It makes the car more luxurious.

I love it! The 3 C-Classes I've owned all had CF, and walnut always looked inferior to me. The CLK I bought Friday has walnut of course, so I'm learning to deal; CF= sport, walnut= luxury....maybe at my age (and after smashing up my Sport) I should be ready for some luxury.
I think your handiwork looks excellent, but even if I was capable of such meticulousness, it would bother me to know I was looking at vinyl, not CF. BITD, that's what originally turned us off the "wood"-trimmed Cadillacs and Lincolns: it wasn't real.

Thanks for the opinion and complement. I understand your point of view but like I said I did it for me cuz I was tired of the walnut/wood look. I'm probably older than most of you active mbworld members here @ 33 but I still consider myself a youngin so looking for a more sporty look. Like the sayin goes " beauty is in the eye of the beholder", I did this not knowing that I wasn't going to please everyone, my objective was only to please my own eyes and share the work with you guys and it did the job. And FYI: the fabric adhesive is not permanently bonded ontp the walnut, it could be taken off anytime. But again thanks for your opinion.

And to add to my point, if I had the money to buy real CF of course I would've gone that route but since I don't. I had to improvise . All my extra cash is going to my 2 kids.

Oh, and while you are likely older than many MBWorld members, you are indeed also a youngin'; you were born the year I got my driver's license!

Is it easy to take the trim off if you got tired of it? Or were to fix the grain of the CF
The fitment looks really good, though. Awesome job. At some point, I'd like to do something similar... maybe brushed aluminum instead of CF!

Wouldn't be that hard to take it off, just use plain old goo gone and you're set. The only thing required is the CF fabric, 3M fabric adhesive and alot of patience do it .
